INCTR - Pathology Anglophone Africa

60yr old male with long history of haematuria and lower urinary tract symptoms.

Ultrasound Sonography Scan revealed a mass within the bladder and on cystoscopy a huge mass was seen within the urinary bladder.

On microscopy, sections showed irregular fragments of tissue exhibiting large areas of haemorrhage and necrosis. The tumour is unencapsulated with irregular infiltrating edges seen in a background of fibrocollagenous tissue. Focal sarcomatous differentiation with other anaplastic areas are also noted.

An impression of Sarcomatous Carcinoma is being entertained.
